Yesterday i was discussing same thing with a friend of mine. There was a thought provoking response ........
There was a little girl , about 3 years old . And like all little ones she used to play with the things around . But not really like all little ones , she once pierced those little finge
rs of her into innocent twinkiling eyes. With nobody watching on her , she took out her eyes with her hands. Can anyone ever imagine such sort of brutality on herself. The parents were shocked on seeing their daughter. Dumbfounded by all the blood and the gory scene around, they rushed her to the hospital.Doctors desperately operated her and restored her eyes. There were stitches deep in the forehead and inside the eyes. Atleast she was able to see.Few months later the girl torn the stitches with her fingers again... What was the thing against which she had so much of rage . But at such a small age what worst can she have.
She was again rushed to the hospital. The parents and doctors were shocked to notice up that even her jaw is broken. And to add up to that , she had broken it a month back . The whole misalignment was shown on her face and she was carrying the broken jaw for a month.
How can anyone suffer so much pain .?? and that too self inflicted .... ?? either she was so strong to resist to so much of pain .. or .......... WAS SHE JUST INSENSITIVE TO PAIN...????
Without the sense of pain in our life, just imagine what the significance of happiness would be .
Einstien was correct when he said that everything is relative. If there is no awareness what actually is suffering, how could we discover how the contentment and happiness will actually feel.
What difference the girl could have felt between that magical and soothing motherly touch, kisses full of love AND the painful piercing feeling in eyes.
Not everyone is lucky enough to get a chance to scream with locked jaws and choked throat ...
and i always feel that happiness comes not with withdrawing from pain, but from feeling it right upto that death,so that beyond that it becomes inadmissible...to the extent that laughter can be extracted from it .......
